Calgary Flames

The Calgary Flames are a National Hockey League team located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada where they are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference.

 

The franchise was founded in 1972 as the Atlanta Flames in Atlanta, Georgia. The team then moved to Calgary in 1980 playing at the Stampede Corral for their first three seasons. The Flames moved to their current home, the ScotiaBank Saddledome in 1983.

 

The Flames have won three conference championships leading to their only Stanley Cup championship in the 1988-89 season.
