Detroit Red Wings

The Detroit Red Wings are a National Hockey League team located in Detroit, Michigan. Founded in 1926, the Red Wings are one of the Original Six franchises and are currently members of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference. Detroit has played their home games at Joe Louis Arena since 1979, but will move to the brand new Little Caesars Arena for the 2017-18 season.

 

The Red Wings have been one of the most successful franchises in the league, winning 19 division titles, six conference championships, and 11 total Stanley Cup championships. The Red Wings streak of 25 consecutive seasons of making the playoffs, from 1991-2016, is the longest streak in North American sports history.
