Florida Panthers

The Florida Panthers are a National Hockey League team located in Sunrise, Florida, near Miami. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. The Panthers were founded in 1993 as an expansion team, along with the Anaheim Ducks. The Panthers played their home games in the Miami Arena from 1993 until 1998 when the team moved to their current home, now named BB&T Center.

 

The franchise has had mild success, winning two division titles. The Panthers have one Stanley Cup finals appearance, which came during the 1995-96 season when they were swept by the Colorado Avalanche.
