Toronto Maple Leafs
The Toronto Maple Leafs are a National Hockey League team located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Maple Leafs are one of the “Original Six” teams in the modern NHL and are members of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference. The franchise was founded in 1917 and evolved into the Maple Leafs after being sold in 1927. The Toronto Maple Leafs played their home games at Maple Leafs Gardens from 1931 until February of 1999, when the team moved to their current home, the Air Canada Centre.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the most successful franchises in NHL history, having won 13 Stanley Cup championships, second only to the Montreal Canadiens. However, their most recent championship came in 1967 and their current drought is the longest current streak in the NHL.
