Baltimore Orioles
The Baltimore Orioles are a Major League Baseball team located in Baltimore, Maryland, playing in the American League East division. The franchise began as the Milwaukee Brewers in 1901 as one of the eight charter franchises of the American League. After one season in Milwaukee, the team moved to St. Louis, Missouri to become the St. Louis Browns.
In 1954, the team relocated again, this time to Baltimore to become the Orioles. The Orioles have three World Series championships in franchise history, most recently in 1983, along with having 3 players named MVP; Frank Robinson in 1966; Boog Powell in 1970; and Cal Ripken, Jr. in 1983. The Orioles currently play at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, considered one of the gems of professional sports stadiums.
