Chicago White Sox

The Chicago White Sox are a Major League Baseball franchise located in the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. The White Sox, originally known as the White Stockings, were established in 1900 and were one of the original eight American League franchises when the league was founded in 1901. The White Sox are currently members of the American League Central division.

For most of the team's history, from 1910-1990, the White Sox' home games were played at legendary Comiskey Park before moving to their current home, U.S. Cellular Field, in 1991. The Chicago White Sox have won three World Series championships, the most recent being in 2005 after a nearly 90 year drought since their previous title in 1917.
