Detroit Tigers
The Detroit Tigers are a Major League Baseball franchise located in downtown Detroit, Michigan. The franchise was established in 1901 as one of the eight original American League teams when the league was founded and are currently members of the American League East division.
The Detroit Tigers are the oldeest one-name, one-city team in the American League. Much of that time (88 seasons) was spent playing at legendary Tiger Stadium before moving to Comerica Park in 2000. The Tigers have won four World Series titles, the most recent in 1984, although they have 11 American League pennants, including in 2006 and 2012.
