San Francisco Giants
The San Francisco Giants are a Major League Baseball franchise located in San Francisco, California. The franchise was established in 1883 in New York City as the New York Gothams. The team became known as the Giants in 1886 and spent most of their time in New York playing at the three incarnations of the Polo Grounds until the team relocated to San Francisco after the 1957 season.
After two seasons in Seals Park, the Giants played in Candlestick Park from 1960-1999, and then moved to their current home, AT&T Park, in 2000. The Giants are one of the most successful franchises in baseball history, having won 23 National League pennants and eight World Series championships, the most recent of each coming in 2014.
