St Louis Cardinals

The St. Louis Cardinals are a Major League Baseball franchise located in St. Louis, Missouri, and are members of the National League Central division. The franchise was founded in 1882 as the St. Louis Brown Stockings and changing names several times before becoming the Cardinals in 1900. The team was purchased by Anheuser-Busch in 1953 with their stadium, Sportsman Park, being renamed to Busch Stadium.

 

The team moved to Busch Memorial Stadium (Busch Stadium II) in 1966 and finally New Busch Stadium (Busch Stadium III) in 2006. The St. Louis Cardinals are one of the most successful franchises in baseball history, having won 19 National League pennants and 11 World Series titles, the most recent of each coming in 2013.
