Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers are a Major League Baseball franchise located in Arlington, Texas, in part of the Dallas – Forth Worth metroplex. The Texas Rangers are a member of the American League West division and currently play in Globe Life Park. The franchise was founded in 1961 as the second edition of the Washington Senators in Washington, D.C. after the first Washington franchise relocated to Minnesota to become the Twins.

 

After the 1971 season, the franchise relocated to Arlington, Texas to become the Texas Rangers. The Rangers have had success as of late, with six divison championships since 1996, including two American League pennants in 2010 and 2011, although both resulted in loses in the World Series.
