Venue History
Great American Ball Park is a baseball stadium located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is the home ballpark of Major League Baseball's Cincinnati Reds. The ballpark opened in 2003 after the team moved from Cinergy Field (formerly Riverfront Stadium). Since its opening, Great American Ball Park has been known to be one of the most hitter-friendly ballparks in the league.
One of the most notable features of the ballpark are the two smokestacks behid the center field wall that are reminiscent of the steamboats that were common in the 19th and 20th centuries to pass along the Ohio River, which is just beyond the outfield seats.
