Venue History
The Cleveland Indians of Major League Baseball play their home games at Progressive Field. Opened in 1994, and then known as Jacobs Field (or by its nickname, “The Jake”), Progressive Field has been considered by fans to be one of the best ballparks in the league.
A league attendance record was set at Progressive Field when 455 consecutive games from June 12, 1995 to April 4, 2001 were sold out. The ballpark's more recognizable features are the vertical light towers as well as the 19 ft high left field wall, known as the “Little Green Monster” in reference to Fenway Park's 39 ft high left field wall.
